How to remove your name off mailing lists

To remove your name from the Northside Hospital Perinatal Loss mailing list (for our Caring & Coping newsletter), please email us at atlantapnl@live.com or call the Perinatal Loss Office at (404) 851-8177.

To remove your name from other baby-related mailing lists, phone call lists, and email lists, please read the following information:

Contact the DMA's Mail Preference Service (MPS):

The sole purpose of the MPS is to remove your name and address from their mailing lists. This service does not apply to mail sent to your business address, or to "resident/occupant" mail.  Registration with the MPS will add you to the “do not mail” file.

The "do not mail" file is updated monthly and distributed four times a year in January, April, July, and October. Your name remains on file for five years, after which time you may register again. Typically you will see the amount of mail you receive begin to decrease approximately three months after your name is entered onto the quarterly file.

You are likely to see the impact of MPS faster if you register online than if you mail in your registration. Also, if you move, you must register your new address with MPS to have it affect your new address.

Although registration with MPS will help to reduce the amount of unsolicited mail that you receive, it will not stop all unsolicited mail. You may continue to receive mail from companies with which you already do business and from non-DMA organizations which do not use MPS.

There are three ways to register for MPS. Consumers must register with MPS directly; second-party requests and bulk requests cannot be processed.

1) Postcard or Letter Mail-in Option (Free): There is no charge for registering by mail. However, registering by mail may delay inclusion in the MPS file for up to a month because this requires time to manually add this data to the service. Please send a postcard or letter that includes your name, home address, and signature to:

2) Online Mail-in Option (Free): www.dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmailinglist

3) Complete Online Option:   www.dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmailinglist

There is a $5 processing fee for registering with the MPS service online for five years' service. You will need a valid credit card to register online.

Telephone Preference Services work the same way.  Send a postcard with your name, home address, home telephone number (with area code) and signature to:

Carmel, NY 10512
